Another favourite barn

This barn is located between Montague and Lower Montague and belongs to the MacKenzie family - it too is unused and abandoned.
The weather yesterday was springlight with bright sunshine!

Peacefully, with family at his side, at the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge on Saturday, January 5, 2013, the death occurred of Alfred Gordon MacKenzie of Lower Montague in his 87th year.
Dearly beloved brother of Ann (Bill) Gilson, Christine Ellsworth, Roderick, Mary (Lloyd) Cann and Fred. Alfred will also be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews, as well as by his caregivers at the Gillis Lodge.
Alfred was predeceased by his parents, John R. and Gertrude MacKenzie (nee Kneebone); his brother, Alexander “Sandy”; sister, Isobel King; brothers-in-law, Harold King and Albert Ellsworth; and sister-in-law, Barbara MacKenzie.
Alfred’s love of animals and of nature provided him with great joy as he spent his life working on his beloved farmland. Over the years the simple pleasures of visits from family members and neighbours brought Alfred much happiness.
Resting at Ferguson-Logan Montague Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in the Lower Montague Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Lower Montague Cemetery would be appreciated.
