Point Pleasant House

This house is featured in our book, Heritage Designs PEI, page 16.  Point Pleasant, 1892.  I first photographed this house in 1992 - it was abandoned then.
Many of these old homesteads have large old trees.
This is a two-storey projecting dormer.
The front door retains a hint of its' original colour.
Note the gingerbread eave corner brackets
Below: I took this photo of the above house in 1993.

  1. I'm sure you already know, but she's collapsed in on herself during the fall sometime. Lot of old houses along that road that have been left to the elements for some reason.

  2. These are all proof of illegal trespassing..I would advise against going on private property..it's all owned by someone.

  3. I 100% agree that's why I take my photos from the side of the road and use a zoom lens. Theses photos where taken in 1992 from the highway...I never crossed the property line onto private property. If I am on a property it is always with permission from owners. They don't call me Cautious Carter for nothing. Thanks for the opportunity to explain this anonymous!
